Hi Mark! That was then, this is now. I don't know anyone who deserves to get across the Channel more than yourself - the amount you put it to this sport is frankly astonishing. This is your year. Assuming the weather is kind, you'll make it. You've done SO much training....and you've done "2-way Windermere". I read somwhere that even Capt Webb shied away from swimming Windermere as he claimed it would be too hard to swim without the benefical buoyancy effect of salt water!
